The Unit Assistant assigned to the Med/Surg or Emergency Unit will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe, timely, effective, quality, age appropriate, culture appropriate, cost conscious and evidenced based care. The Unit Assistant provides patient care on an individualized basis, according to organizational policies and procedures. Within the level of the Unit Assistant's qualifications, may be assigned to work on other nursing units based on patient census and staffing needs.
