Job Description

Your tasks

• Create, modify, and execute data engineering processes for conversion and use of digital sources and related products (focus on data that is based on IHO product specifications S-57, S-101, etc.)

• Responsible for digital data processing on ENC Servers, BOs and timeliness of data release.

• Use data engineering technologies such as FME, QGIS, Python, SQL, and others to transform and integrate data or build products.

• Report of conversion issues, errors, and inability to release data to all relevant data providers and archive the results.

• Process of test scenarios to ensure integrity and consistency of released data.

• Optimization of coverages and data product portfolios

• Communications with Regional ENC Centres (RENC) and Customer Services.

• Provide technical support to Customer Service, Sales, and Relation teams regarding e-chart data and technical publications.

What we need from you

• Preferred university degree in computer science, geodesy, geography, hydrography, or a similar field.

• Demonstrated experience with FME, QGIS or similar spatial tools.

• Experience with programming and scripting and the ability to learn other tools and programming languages.

• Understand the electronic navigation chart data structure and related standards (S-57, S-63, S-101).

• Knowledge of relevant software of SevenCs (ENC Tools; ENC Server; ChartBrowser; eGlobe G2) is an advantage.

• Punctual, very attentive, independent worker, able to work under time pressure.

• Good speaking and writing skills in English.
